On the afternoon of October 21st, Professor Liu Qingjing was appointed as the visiting professor and gave a report in our Institute. Professor Zhou Jianzhong, Dean of The School of Mechanical Engineering, Professor FuYonghong, Director of the Development Planning Department, And Professor Ye Yunxia, executive Vice President of The Institute of Photonics and Terahertz Technology attended the appointment ceremony and presentation. Professor Ye Yunxia presided over the ceremony. Professor Ye introduced the research and work experience of Professor Liu Qingjing in detail to the students and teachers. President Zhou Jianzhong presented the appointment certificate of Visiting professor and the badge of Jiangsu University to Professor Liu Qingjing. Afterwards, Professor Liu Qingjing gave a wonderful report entitled "Application of short pulse/ultra-short pulse laser in fine processing" to the on-site teachers and students, which introduced the development history and types of lasers, with emphasis on the characteristics of short pulse/ultra-short pulse laser and their applications in the field of micro-nano processing. He pointed out that the rapid development of new technologies, especially communication technologies represented by 5G, has raised higher requirements for processing technology, and short/ultrashort pulses can meet the booming demand for fine processing in emerging fields.

His company mainly researches and produces high-average power short-pulse and ultra-short pulse lasers. He has high attestation and experience in the research and development of short-pulse ultra-short pulse laser devices and the basic research on the interaction between ultra-fast laser and matter.
