Ma Chao participated in the first high-end forum on the application of spectral technology in the industrial field

        On July 8-9, 2019, hosted by the optical engineering society of China, co-hosted by Tianjin Institute of Aeronautical physics and the institute of information and control engineering of China University of Petroleum (east China), the "1st high-end forum on the application of spectral technology in the industrial field was successfully held in the national conference center in Beijing. Liu Wenqing, the academician of An Guang Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences became chairman of the forum and delivered a speech. Ma Chao, a teacher of Micro nano optoelectronics and Terahertz Technology Institute of Jiangsu University participated in this forum.
        More than 100 scientists from nearly 50 colleges and universities, research institutes and related enterprises took part in this forum, including An Guang Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, ISCAS, Shanghai institute of technical physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Kunming institute of physics, China University of Petroleum (Beijing), China University of Petroleum (east China), Civil Aviation University of China, Sinopec Institute of petrology, Beijing Chemical Industry University, Beijing University of Technology, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, and Shanxi University.
        Petrochemicals, coal chemicals and gas processing, storage and transportation, as the basic industries of the country, provide supporting facilities and services for agriculture, energy, transportation, textile, light industry and people's daily life. They play a pivotal role in the national economy and are pillar industries in China. Compared with traditional chromatographic analysis technology and gas sensitive semiconductor sensing technology, spectral technology, especially laser spectroscopy technology and THz detection technology, have gradually stepped out of scientific research laboratories and been applied in these industries by virtue of their high sensitivity, non-contact measurement, fast detection speed, stability and reliability, long life and other technological advantages.
        THz detection technology is currently one of the key development directions of our Institute. Ma Chao attended the conference, carefully listened to the conference reports and sub-topic reports, actively communicated with experts and scholars from various fields, broadened the horizon of spectroscopy, and brought back the latest research trends and industrial applications of spectral detection and THz detection technology for other teachers of the Institute.
