From May 23, 2018 to May 25, 2018, Professor Yunxia Ye and Professor Xuan Wu, School of Mechanical Engineering, invited by Professor Dong-Weon Lee, the director of State Key Laboratory of Micro-Electro-mechanical System(Chonnam National University), attended ‘The 2018 MEMS/NEMS Symposium for Next-Generation Sensor Technology’ in Korea. In the first stage of the academic forum, Professor Ye made the report titled ‘Laser Micro/Nano Machining and Its Application in Engineering’, which described the progress of laser micro machining in Jiangsu University and the applications in engineering in detail. Professor Wu Xuan presented the report ‘Green Energy Technology for Self-powered Electronics and Wireless Sensor Networks’, and introduced the research and the application prospect of the novelty green energy collection technology in the sensor field and self-powered Internet of things, as well as its development in Jiangsu University. Many researchers from the State Key Laboratory of MEMS in Korea reported their progress in basic and applied research, focusing on biosensors, micro-nano devices, bio-medical treatment, and super hydrophobic polymers. In the second stage of the academic forum, Chinese and Korean scholars went to Korea Nano Bio Research Center, Medical Microrobot Center, MEMS and Nano Technology Laboratory to have on-site discussions on micro-nano processing and its device preparation technical, Laboratory construction, etc.
        In December, 2017, Professor Dong-Weon Lee visited Jiangsu University and reached a preliminary intention of cooperation on micro-nano manufacturing and its applications in the field of sensing. Through the forum hosted by the Korea, both sides further strengthened academic communications and discussed the implementation details about project cooperation, laboratory co-construction and student training. This forum provided inspirations for the development of Jiangsu University in micro-nano processing technology, micro-nano device development and other directions.
